The LivingStones began playing together in 2006 as a youth group band at their home congregation, Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, in Birmingham, MI. They spent countless Sunday afternoons practicing, honing their musical skills, writing songs, and growing tighter as a band. In 2010 they released their first EP, You and I. In 2011 they released their first full-length album, Glow. In July of 2012, they released the Worship EP.

The LivingStones have led worship, played for chapel services, school assemblies, and led lock-ins across Michigan. They have also been a part of Youth Gatherings in Michigan, Indiana, Florida and Tennessee. They recently had the privilege of leading worship at a Mission camp in Mexicali, Mexico, and performed at The Big Ticket Festival. They find musical influence from bands such as Relient K, Attaboy and Switchfoot. They are 4 ordinary guys with an incredible passion for music. They consider it a privilege to spend their time interacting with their fans and worshiping God.

  • We could not have been more pleased with the stage performances and off stage ministry of the members of The Living Stones when they appeared at the Middle School Youth Gathering of the Florida-Georgia District, LCMS near Orlando, FL in early November. Alex, Christian, Nick, and Hunter did an amazing job of leading our 500 middle school students in praise and worship at the beginning of each general session of the weekend.  Whenever they were not on stage they took time to talk with the students and encourage them in their faith journey. They were all about living out their faith in Jesus in ways that our young students could relate to and respond. They partnered with our planning team/event organizers to create an unforgettable and spirit-filled experience for the youth who were part of the gathering. There’s no doubt that these four young men from Michigan love Jesus and want to serve Him in their music ministry! We’re looking forward to having them back next year!

  • The Living Stones led worship for over 1000 students gathered from around North America on a mission trip to Mexico and totally rocked!  They did an amazing job up front, but more importantly, they are the real deal off stage. I had the privilege of spending almost every waking moment with them during that trip so I got to see what they were really like; they are genuine Christ followers, have a heart for ministry, and are constantly learning how to be more effective worship leaders and musicians. Plus, they are hilarious and great to hang out with! Any church, ministry, camp, or school would be lucky to have these guys come to their event.

  • I’ve had the opportunity to work with The LivingStones at 3 or 4 youth gatherings for both junior and senior high school students. All four members exude a loving, Christ-centered spirit, which resonates well both on stage and off. These Christian young men have a strong dedication to the mission behind the music and serve as wonderful role models to any youth that they may encounter. From a professional standpoint, they are flexible to any venue and work well under pressure. It’s been a pleasure to work with a group that is this uniquely gifted as well as courteous and organized. I highly recommend them for any youth gathering as well as concert venue.

  • The Living Stones are an absolutely great band! Whether they're playing their original music, covering a song or leading worship; they do a fantastic job. What I really love about this band are their hearts! They are God focused, humble and incredible servants. I've been speaking for almost 20 years at camps, retreats and churches and I've met a lot of bands over the years. I've met very few like The Living Stones. I highly recommend them for your church, student ministry or event!

  • In what was our first run at our new summer camp experience, The Living Stones helped make it a week we'll never forget. When it came to performance and worship leading, they knew how to engage our entire audience (6-12th graders). Even more, they worked very well with us on the programming side of camp as we worked through all the kinks of a first-time camp. They were extremely patient with and considerate of our entire team. Off the stage, they spent every chance they could hanging out with students - even getting tackled in the mudpit. They know how to make memories with students & leaders AND deliver music performances at a high level. These guys are some of the most humble young men in music I know and I don't think our summer camp experience would have been the same without them!

  • We couldn't have asked for a better band than The Living Stones. These guys have great attitudes and hearts, as well as having an excellent stage presence. They were the highlight of our gathering! Their eagerness to make connections with the students and talk about their faith was unexpected but greatly appreciated. God is working great things through these men!
